Monitor a Web Server and be notified when it goes offline and comes back online.
|
|
Options include HTTP or HTTPS, GET or POST.
|
To use a POST type, simply enter the full url including parameters as for a GET request type.
The processor will separate these parameters and post them to the web site as expected.

In this example, we will add a Monitor for a web site.
|
Click 'Setup'
|
Expand the 'Dashboard' node and select the Dashboard where you want the gauge to display.

Click the 'New Measure' button
|
Enter the name of your new measure
|
Click the 'next' button
|
Select the 'Server Monitoring' option
For more information see Monitoring Options
Click the 'next' button
|
Select the Server Type of 'Web Server'
Enter the Domain or URL of the web site to monitor
Click the 'next' button
|
Select the type of Gauge to use. for example the 'Historical Line' gauge is good for displaying status changes over time.

Click the 'next' button

Enter the monitoring Interval in seconds. For example 240 for 4 minutes.
Click the 'next' button

Set the Notification and Alert options.

Click the 'next' button
Close the Settings window.

Your new measure will be displayed on your Dashboard.
